For a decade, I was a high school band director in Central Texas. I loved the students. The "adults"… sometimes less so.
But after I got married, something shifted. I was spending every Friday night at football games and every Saturday at competitions, pouring myself into other people's kids — while making pennies on the dollar for all that time away from my own family.
Right around my tenth year teaching, my family felt a call: sell everything, hit the road, see the nation.
The plan got delayed. So instead of waiting, I took a step — I started selling used cars at a local Sonic Automotive store.
It felt like a safe first move into sales. A base salary. Low pressure. Whether you drove off in a Camry or a Tundra, my job was just to make sure you had a great experience.
The problem was the hours. A two-hour buying process and a store open until 9 PM meant some nights I didn't get home until 11:30 or midnight.
Not the life for a family man.
Then one day a young guy walked in wearing gear from a roofing company — one I'd actually applied to a few years earlier, before I was ready to make the move into full commission.
He was looking at an F-150 I didn't think he should be looking at. So I started chatting with him. As I heard his story, something clicked — I knew exactly what I was capable of doing.
Two years later, I'd personally brought in over $3 million in sales and helped lead a team to $100K+ months. I had completely changed my life.
After those couple of years, God finally opened the doors for the call we'd felt years earlier.
So I set it down. Picked up my family. Moved to our new home. And walked into what I felt He truly had for me.
That's why I built the Rhythm of Revenue. Because I know what it's like to be a high performer pouring everything out and still feeling like you're running on a wheel.
I have learned what it takes to find the rhythm that changes everything, and I'm sharing it with you.
The Rhythm of Revenue.
Find your rhythm.
